"Defend Old Fort Parker Charity Shoot" - 2009-
This annual charity shoot has become a major fundraiser for Old Fort Parker. The Fort is a non-profit historical landmark, the former homestead of the Parker family and Cynthia Ann Parker. The Patriots act as hosts for this shoot and strive to make this one of the funnest shoots in Texas. Our targets are big and very close, and the shoot has seen as high as 32% of the shooters with clean matches. The Fort has awarded buckles the last two years for each shoot category. In fact, in 2008 ALL shooters received a buckle acknowledging their participation and contribution! Door prizes, great raffle prizes, gun give-aways and other treats have become a regular feature of this shoot thanks to the generous donations received from our vendors, and individual shooters as well.
